Silk FM refusing to be squashed have been forced off their own frequency, and have had to take a side step to find some new shoes. After an ongoing battle with a well known station who recently decided to broadcast on an additional frequency, 90.4 as well as their existing 105.5 fm with greater power which obliterated the community station of Silk in certain key areas resulting in hundreds of listeners complaining to both stations that they could no longer recieve their favourite station.
Unwilling to listen or care about residents viewpoints on the Costa and after months of SILK FM trying to reason with the giant station only to be tossed aside by the giant, they have reluctantly made the decision to abandon their old frequency and have now moved to their back up frequency of 89.2 FM and are working to make MIJAS COSTA even stronger for all their loyal and new listeners alike.
Currently the local reach is between Cabopino and Fuengirola and they are working to make it even stronger launching into the new year with plenty of new shows and presenters.
