After years our charity A Ray of Light finally received its official papers form the government, and slowly but surely people are becoming members, and the charity is growing momentum.
During the Christmas period present were bought for children in care, and funds were raised to start putting collection boxes in businesses throughout the Costa.
The aim of the charity in to bring a “Ray of Light” to someone who needs it, from a small child who needs clothes, to a pensioner who needs help with shopping or housework.
The Spanish Sun Newspaper will be inviting people to nominate people for help, this may be done via email, and in each edition we will run their stories, and give help or try to get help for them. Names can be kept confidential in delicate circumstances.

Can you offer help?
We need:
- Businesses to organise fund raising events, all events will receive free promotions in the Spanish Sun Newspaper.
- Businesses to donate raffle and tombola prizes; vouchers to spend, bottles of wine and spirits for our monthly raffle.
- Give your unwanted goods to be sold at the boot sale; Clothes, bric a brac, make up, cosmetics etc.
- People to become members of the charity.
- Donations, these can be made directly into A Ray Of Lights bank account, details by request, or via pay pal.
- We also need people to distribute charity boxes, sell monthly raffle tickets, organise things etc.
If any business would like to take copies of the Spanish Sun we will give them a charity box for the people who take the newspaper to put their donation for the newspaper in.
